NewsMost recent news is at the top November 27-29. 2009 It was Penner's first agility outting this weekend and he did great! While he found all the dogs and people quite distracting at first, he worked well and settled down nicely. He finished his weekend with a smokin' tunnelers run for his first Q and 1st place! Carson had some very nice runs as well and got his first Open tunnelers Q with a 1st place. November 6-8, 2009 Tega finished three more RAE legs this weekend in fine style with two 2nd places, two 3rd places and two 4th places in Advanced B and Excellent B. In Advanced B, his scores were 100, 99 and 92. In Excellent B, his scores were 98, 98 and 96. September 6, 2009 Carson finished his NADAC Novice Tunnelers Title (TN-N) today with 2 good rounds! Tega got a leg in both Tunnelers and Touch 'N Go. August 8-10, 2009 It was another amazing obedience camp with Janice Gunn in Abbotsford, BC! Tega, Carson and baby Vita all had a fantastic time and gave some really good work. Welcome to your new world Vita! August 6, 2009 I am thrilled to announce the addition of a bouncing baby brindle girl to our family. Vita (Cyntech's Viva La Vita Integra) is a fearless little wunderkind. A huge thank you to Cindy Thomas of CynTech Boxers for sending this precious little wee one my way. She was just what we needed. August 3, 2009 It was another SUPER agility day for Carson! Two clean fast rounds for a first and second place! Go CARSON!! August 2, 2009 Carson ROCKED IT in agility today at the Alberta Kennel Club trials finishing his novice agility title! He is now Dawnaquinn's Johnny Carson AGNS. Carson REALLY likes it being all about HIM for a change! August 1, 2009 Despite the HEAT, Tega did very well today at the Alberta Kennel Club trials. He got a 3rd place in Open B with a 191, a 2nd Place in Advanced B rally with a 98 and finished a LONG HOT day with a 92 in Excellent B for his 6th RAE leg. June 27, 2009 My piece of the sun went out today. Pinot died unexpectedly this morning at exactly 11:00 am from heart failure while chasing her favorite orange ball in the backyard. June 5, 2009 It was an all-agility weekend at NACA. CARSON was AMAZING in his CKC debut!!! Go Carson! Go Carson! Carson qualified 2/2 on Saturday with a 90 and 3rd place and 95 and second place. Pinot won her jumpers round on Saturday. Unfortunately, she apparently thought the yellow zone in the down contact of the dogwalk burned boxer feet and did her VERY best to make quite sure that not even a toe would be injured. May/09 Tega, Pinot and I treked down to Kentucky for the American Boxer Club Nationals and had a super week! Tega finished his American Rally Advanced title with a 99/100 and second place. He also scored a 190 in Open B on Sunday and was much more enthusiastic than accurate. Pinot had a lovely open round "but for" one missed sit (3 points) and two automatic finishes (5 points each)! Those 13 points would have come in handy. She had really nice heeling on Sunday and only lost 1 point in her heel work. Sadly, she went down in the long sit. Both dogs did great in agility. Tega won his standard round on Monday with a clean fast run. Pinot won her jumpers round Monday and standard round on Tuesday (clean runs) and came in third in her jumpers round on Tuesday. She had a bit of a bobble in that jumpers round but was still faster than the clear dogs. It's a LONG trip to Kentucky but we have such a good time down there. February/09 Tega earned another 2 RAE legs in Edmonton Feb 14-15. He was also the High Scoring Veteran in Trial with a 195.5 and 2nd place in Open B. Pinot debuted in Open with a lovely variation of the Figure 8 that incorporated the high jump with the figure 8....twice. Sadly, Jeff Lunder did not give her extra credit for her creativity. Tega scored his first 2 RAE legs at AKC Jan 30-Feb 1. He had 2nd and 4th class placements in Excellent and a 4th class placement in Advanced with a 95 score. Tega kicked off the 2009 obedience trial season with a 193 in Open B on Jan 30. November/08 Tega turned 7 on the 18th. I can't believe he's a veteran!! To celebrate, he scored a 197.5 in Open B for 3rd place on Nov 24 in the last trial of the year. October/08 Tega finished his Rally Excellent (RE) title with a 4th place on Friday and Pinot finished her Rally Advanced (RA) title on October 31/08 in Red Deer. Tega took 3rd place in Excellent on Sunday with a 96. September/08 The dogs and I entered our first NADAC agility trial. This was Carson's first competition in anything and he came home with a Qualifying run and 1st place in his height division in Tunnelers! I am very proud of my little black & tan dog :). This was also Pinot's first agility competition and she also came home with a Qualifying run and 1st place in her height division in Tunnelers. Tega found his inner puppy and didn't qualify in anything although he had a VERY good time. August 08 The dogs and I headed down to Montana this past weekend to finish what we started at the ABC Nationals in Kentucky: CD and RN for Pinot and CDX and RN for Tega. While the heat took a toll on Tega in Open and Pinot apparently forgot how to sit in Novice, the titles are finished! The dogs put in good rally rounds. Pinot stayed in Novice all weekend and her scores included a 97 and 100, with second place finishes. Tega finished his RN Friday with a 99 and a second place finish. He moved into Advanced on Saturday and scored another 99 with another second place finish on Sunday. Tega gets his first and second Rally Excellent legs including a score of 99/100 and a 2nd place. Pinot gets her second Rally Advanced leg. July 08 Tega finishes his Rally Advanced title with scores of 97/100 and class placements. May 08 The dogs and I made the 30 hour drive to Ft Mitchell, Kentucky for the American Boxer Nationals and had a wonderful time! It was great to see so many lovely working boxers together in one spot! April 5 and 6 / 08
